Any donations received after 3:30 PM Central on 3/5/2024 will support future NASA App Development teams and other postsecondary and career readiness programming facilitated by the By Degrees Foundation.
By Degrees Foundation is a Des Moines-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that partners with public schools to help more students graduate from high school ready for postsecondary success.
Team FrostByte heads to Houston!
This year five Des Moines North scholars put their heads together to form Iowa's only team competing in the NASA App Development Challenge. After months of preparation, presentations and interviews, they were recently announced as finalists. They're headed to Houston this April to make one final presentation to high-level NASA leadership.
Help us make sure Team FrostByte has everything they need to bring it home during their visit to NASA in April!

Team FrostByte will visit NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston from April 15-18. They'll tour NASA’s unique facilities, meet industry leaders, and make one final presentation to high-level NASA leadership.
While NASA covers the cost of travel and hotels, food and travel incidentals are not included. We're making sure these needs are met so that our students can focus on being NASA Scientists.
All funds raised for Team FrostByte will support food costs, spiffy new business casual wear for each student, and a small stipend to cover trip incidentals.
